The majority of medical scanners communicate via the DICOM protocol, which is accepted as the international medical imaging standard. Craniotech has the software and expertise to convert the "raw" data or the data in "native format" into a more readily and easily used format, e.g Binary STL files.
These files can in turn be used for 3D printing or in engineering programs for a wide variety of applications.
The digital data can also be manipulated by using a series of different tools to achieve the desired result. These tools include mirroring, segmentation, unions and subtractions, wrapping and smoothing.
